Every child is unique, they have their own interests and their own characteristics of learning. Our fully trained and qualified staff observe and support individual children daily. We use the governments’ Development Matters as a guide to best determine your child’s development and to plan and support them going forward.
We incorporate the best of Reggio Emilia, Montessori and the more modern curiosity approach. Without binding ourselves to one approach we are able to explore all different ways of learning, giving children the chance to discover what works best for them.
The areas in our settings are designed to be invitations to spark curiosity and learn. We have plenty of natural resources, heuristic play as well as everything else. We ensure our staff are trained to not only deliver the EYFS but also uniquely focus around your child’s needs and interests.
As an Ofsted-registered early years provider, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
Our curriculum covers all the key areas of the early years foundation stage and is designed to meet the needs of each individual child.
There are three prime areas of learning in which our Early Years Professionals centre activities to support children to learn and develop. These are:
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication and language development
- Physical development
Plus four specific areas of learning. These are:
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Expressive arts and design
